Dog of the Week: Meet PJ

Pj

An adorable pup is looking for a new home this Christmas season.

Meet PJ, a female Terrier mix, around 3-years-old and has a lot of energy to her. She’s updated on all her vaccines and is spayed. She has been at the K9 Adoption Center since the end of August.

“There is just so many good things about her. She walks well on a leash, loves to have a lot of affection, rides well in the car. So she is just one of those dogs that is an all around good program,” said Volunteer Doug McQuaid.

McQuaid said the K9 Adoption Center is at full capacity and many of the dogs seem to be lost from their owners.

“We have dogs that are being brought in everyday and those dogs are basically being brought in as strays to basically be kept out of harms way and somewhere where it is safe and warm. So if you would and your dog has become loose, it would be very important to give us a call, stop by and let us know there is no fines or citations,” said McQuaid.

The K9 Adoption Center also has their dog licenses for sale. They are $16 and lets the adoption center know that the dog they have found has a home and they’ll do what they can to get them home safely. If you would like to volunteer or adopt a dog visit their website.
