16-Year-Old Injured In House Fire
A 16-year-old Zanesville boy was seriously injured in a weekend house fire. It happened at 1065 Putnam Avenue Sunday just after 1 a.m. The Zanesville Fire Department says when they arrived on the scene of the blaze they found one person on the roof of the home and another person trapped inside. Firefighters entered the home and found 16-year-old Chase Bookless in a bedroom in the front of the two story home. Bookless is listed in critical condition at the Ohio State University Wexner Medial Center. The person on the roof was brought to safety. The home – which suffered significant damage – is owned by Tina Beall. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
