$165,000 worth of CBD Oil Seized in Muskingum Co.

The State Highway Patrol announced that two Rhode Island men face felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Muskingum County.
During the stop troopers seized over 7,000 liquid ounces of CBD Oil worth approximately $165,000.
On Monday February 25, around noon troopers stopped a 2017 U-Haul truck with Arizona registration for a marked lanes violation on Interstate 70.
The patrol said criminal indicators were observed and a drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A search revealed the oil.
37-year-old Joshua Sellers and his passenger 37-year-old Richard Defedele were charged with possession of a schedule one substance. If convicted they face up to 11 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
CBD Oil is made from strains of cannabis that contain low levels of THC.
