173rd Noble County Fair

CALDWELL, Ohio – In Caldwell, the Noble County Fair is a tradition that has gathered the community together for 173 years.

Noble County Fair Board Director Randy Winegardner explained how agriculture plays a significant role in the community and how the fair cultivates inspiration in the lives of its residents.

“The big thing about our fair… the same as many fairs is the youth,” Winegardner said. “The youth programs, the junior fair, seeing the work that these 4-H kids put into their projects. It’s just amazing, the amount of work and the resilience that these young adults and children show. You know we’ve got a 4-H program, over 20 clubs in our little county here, which is phenomenal the number of kids in our county that’s involved in this program.”

Winegardner noted that the Noble County Fair has a lot of free activities for the youth that can help to lighten some of the family’s fair-going expenses.

“The weather has been spectacular for us and it looks like it will continue throughout the week here,” Winegardner said. “So you know, new this year to the fair, we’ve got a new rodeo company, we’re excited about our rodeo Thursday night. It’s going to be a big thing. We’ve got Don’t Tell the Bishop, he’s kind of TikTok famous now, so he’s going to be up here on our fairgrounds Thursday, walking around and he’s going to play the part of the Rodeo Clown, later Thursday evening at our rodeo.”
