Junior Pioneers Welcomed Home After AAABA Championship
The Zanesville Junior Pioneers received royal treatment Sunday morning after coming out victorious in the AAABA championship game.
The Juniors defeated Johnstown 8-2, and returned home in style. Â Zanesville was led by a police escort into Gant Stadium. Â The team was then welcomed by friends, family, and members of the Muskingum Valley Old Timers Association.
Zanesville was clearly an underdog while in Johnstown, winning only one game in pool play.  This year marked the second time the Pio’s have made it to the Final Four and their first championship.
