18th Annual SOUPer Bowl

The 18th Annual SOUPer Bowl Benefit Luncheon is Sunday the 19th at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors.

Tickets are $6 at the door, $5 in advance and $4 for children 12 and under. Keely Warden from Christ’s Table said they will have five different types of soups, hot sandwiches, sloppy joe’s, hot-dogs and homemade cookies. She explained why this event is so important to the community and its non-profit organizations.

"There are 22 supporting churches, and 19 corporate sponsors this year" said Warden. "The unique thing about it for ever $5 ticket that is sold, because of the support of this community, $15 actually goes back to the agencies."

Over the past 17 years $163,000 have been donated to non-profit agencies in Muskingum county through the SOUPer Bowl. Keely Warden told us which agencies the benefit would be supporting this year,

"This year its Eastside Community Ministry, Fellowship of Christ’s Community, Christ’s Table, The Salvation Army and the Center for Seniors."
