18th District Recount Official

The recount has now been certified in the 18th Congressional district race in the republican primary. The Tuscarawas County Board of Election says State Senator Bob Gibbs won by 156 votes. The official count showed Gibbs with 11,037 votes and his closest rival, Fred Dailey, with 10,881 votes. Gibbs will now face Democratic Congressman Zack Space in the November general election.
