Six Charged in Inmate Escape

Muskingum County- Several people face charges in the escape of Wayne Pletcher from the Muskingum County Jail earlier this month.

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said Pletcher recruited friends, ex-girlfriends and family to assist in his escape. He now faces charges including multiple counts of escape, tampering with evidence, receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools.

Those that assisted in his escape include his girlfriend 45-year-old Sara Moore. She’s charged with escape, obstructing justice and possession of criminal tools. Pletcher’s sister 35-year-old Christina Webb who is charged with obstructing justice and possession of criminal tools. 36-year-old Vanessa Cooper who faces two counts of obstructing justice. 18-year-old’s Leona Bell Dejesus and Eleveea Largent, as well as 59-year-old James Pletcher all face charges of obstructing justice and tampering with evidence.
