Zanesville Baseball Ready to Battle the LCL
Zanesville, OH- It’s late March and that means one thing. Baseball is back. It’s less than a week until opening day and the Zanesville Blue Devils have the community and head coach Jason Smith excited for the 2025 season.
There’s a buzz in the air for Zanesville baseball and Coach Smith understands the importance of wins, but he wants his players to focus on the importance of being a team to get those wins.
“Every year we want to win more games. Obviously and in order to do that we have to take that big team little me approach,” explained Smith. “We have a lot of guys that are going to be moving around depending on pitching staff or depending on who’s pitching that game. Some guys are going to have to play multiple positions maybe daily. So, being able to handle some adversity. Being able to play multiple positions being a let to be counted on regardless on where your at that your going to make the play.
Wins and losses are big in the Licking County League and with Heath coming off of a state championship, Coach Jason Smith knows his team will have to battle.
“It’s no secret Zanesville will have to battle but they won’t have to do it alone as the community is stepping up for their Blue Devils,” said Smith.
It’s shaping up to be a very exciting season for the 2025 Zanesville Blue Devils.
