2018 Festival of Trees Wrap Up
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s the Monday after the Festival of Trees event and the Chamber of Commerce is wrapping up.
The 26th annual Festival of Trees took place Friday. This was a chance to promote local businesses during the holiday season and support the Chamber of Commerce as well. There were over 200 entries of holiday decorations and their incentives. The live auction was heard on WHIZ AM 1240.
“As always, the community comes together, the businesses. The citizens they came together, had a fun day. Started at 9 a.m., ended at 6 p.m. Over 220 entries,” said Chamber President, Dana Matz.
The grand total from the auction was $53,600, a new record for the Festival of Trees. The Chamber of Commerce thanks all the supporters for another successful fundraiser.
“We’d just like to thank the community, the businesses that supported each other and the Chamber of Commerce,” Matz added.
Today is the final day for pick up of the items bid on. The Chamber of Commerce said they are going to start planning for next year.
