ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Hopefully you got a chance to head to the mall today for the Holiday Art Fest. The event saw over 20 local artists, showing off the true talent that in our local area and also providing a chance to support the artist by buying some of their pieces on display.
“Well, as a group of artists, in the area, we believe that this festival has, more of a professional artist, appeal. We have obviously ceramicist. There are glass objects in our painting, and, there’s lots of art forms here,” said Mark Goodall, president of the Artist Colony of Zanesville (ArtCoz). “But these folks are all, very professional artists, and, we feel like that, that it makes it a notch above, some of the other events. But we just love supporting our local artists by, featuring their work here.”
There was a variety of custom items on display. Ranging from woodwork, ceramics, and paintings. Making it the perfect opportunity to get ahead on Christmas shopping this year.
“Yeah. It is, I think every one of us can think through our list and find someone that we struggle to buy gifts for and so, you know, this gives you an opportunity to find one of a kind, handmade and very artistic, pieces that, you know, those folks are just not going to have. And it just gives you a very creative option for gift giving,” Goodall said.
The Holiday ArtFest was a smashing success for the 1st time in the colony square mall and plans on continuing the tradition in the future.
