Fall Foliage Rides to begin on The Lorena

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Lorena Sternwheeler begins its Fall Foliage Rides this weekend.
As the season changes, it is a great time to ride The Lorena and enjoy colors of fall along the Muskingum River. Public rides will be offered starting October 1st, and a Twilight Cruise will take place on October 8th. Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Kelly Ashby, said they are featuring a Halloween costume ride for the first time this year.
“We are offering a costume ride on The Lorena Sternwheeler, focused towards children. They are able to wear their Halloween costume, and get wonderful treat bags. Any child that has their Halloween costume on will ride half price,†said Ashby.
The season’s last dinner cruise will be offered on October 1, 9, 15, 16, 22, and 23. There is also a Twilight Cruise on October 8th from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost for the public rides and twilight cruise is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $4 for children.
The season’s last dinner cruises will take place on Saturday, October 1st and 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $35 per person, and includes a prime rib dinner. Reservations are required for the dinner cruise.
“So lot’s of great activities still happening on The Lorena Sternwheeler. It’s been a wonderful season, and we just truly enjoy everyone coming out and taking advantage of one of the gems that we have right here in Muskingum County,†said Ashby.
