Ashley and Cody Ensley have been volunteering at Christ’s Table for more than a year. Cody is a wounded warrior, who chose to spend veterans day by helping others.

“It’s more important that he [Cody] is honored, because he actually sacrificed a lot for this country and what he believes in,” Ashley Ensley said.

“How do you feel about working here,” Ashley asked Cody.

“Pretty good,” Cody said.

The Daughters of the American Revolution also spent Veterans day at Christ’s Table.

“In the past few years, we tried to make it a tradition that the DAR from Muskingum County will help serve the veterans,” Daughter of the American Revolution, Chairman Mary Ann Devolld said. “But there are people who volunteer everyday here. This is one of our chances that we can serve the community just like others who are trying to do the same.”

Christ’s Table is always accepting new volunteers. If you’d like to help give them a call at (740) 452-9766.
