Turkeys donated to Christ’s Table and Salvation Army

Christ’s Table will be prepared for Thanksgiving dinner thanks to a local organization.
Christ’s Table received their annual donation this evening from the Y-Bridge Longbeards of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Committee Funding Co-Chair, Melissa Spring, said N.W.T.F. was able to expand their services to the Salvation Army by raising more money this year through schools having dress up days.
“We really over did our goal this year and so we were able to purchase turkeys for [the Salvation Army]Â also and give food items for the baskets,” Spring said.
Spring said this years fundraiser raised $2,800Â to purchase 150 turkeys for Christ’s Table, 75 Turkeys for the Salvation Army, and items for 50 food baskets.
“[Keely Warden]Â was so appreciative, because there were some other people that were going to be bringing some [turkeys] also, but they hadn’t received them yet,” said Spring. “So they were very appreciative that we could donate more than we did in the past.”
N.W.T.F. would like to thank Riesbeck’s Food Market and Target in Heath, Ohio for the Turkeys. Christ Table will host their Thanksgiving dinner November 24th from 10:30Â A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
