21st Annual National Road Yard Sale Festival

ZANESVILLE, OH – The National Road may be a little busier than usual this week.

The 21st annual National Road Yard Sale Festival kicks off this Wednesday, May 29th and goes until June 2nd.

Kelly Ashby, Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, said this event is perfect for antique hunters and yard sale enthusiasts alike.

“Locally, you will definitely encounter a lot of yard sales happening, but we also want to focus on the National Road-Zane Grey Museum,” Ashby said. “There will be fun activities happening there and local folks can take advantage of taking their items and setting up a table at the National Road-Zane Grey Museum as well.”

Ashby says it’s already shaping up to be a busy time for travel and expects the influx of people coming into town to only grow.

She says to be considerate of those who may not be from around the area.

“With the traffic on Interstate 70 and one way streets and not being really sure of where you’re heading. We always receive compliments of how people are so kind and nice to travelers through the area and we want to make sure that we continue to get those emails that say that,” Ashby said. “So absolutely, help out the folks who are traveling through and to the area, let them know where the National Road is, or where’s the closest place to get something to eat, or drink, or gas.”
