Business Ordered to Pay Back Funds
A former Zanesville business has been ordered by the Ohio Attorney General to pay over $160,000 back to government.
Attorney General Mike Dewine announced Autumn Health Care will have to repay $167,000Â that they obtained from the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the federal government’s centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
The corporation’s owner, 61-year-old Steven Hitchens of Newark, plead guilty to multiple charges following an investigation from Dewine’s office.
The investigation found that Hichens and the company had engaged in crimes such as tampering with evidence, telecommunications fraud, theft by deception, and forgery.
