ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Last week we introduced MoonPie who was proudly adopted. Now it’s time to introduce Moonbeam so he can have the same chance to a forever home.

Moonbeam is a Turkish Van Mix, male, and weighs 15 pounds. He has already been neutered, micro chipped, and is up to date on tests.

“He definitely is still active for being eight,” Assistant Director, Charity Stevens said. “He does like to cuddle sometimes, but he’s more of a very active cat. Now he’s going to be kind of shy and act like ‘Oh please don’t look at me,’ but yes he is very active.”

Moonbeam was brought to the Animal Shelter on January 5, 2017 by his owner, who was moving and couldn’t take Moonbeam along.

“So he is looking for his forever home and he is an eight year old,” Stevens said. “So some times they get overlooked so we just ask that you come out and take a look at him. Cats he doesn’t seem to mind, I’m not sure if he’s been around other dogs or not, but if you have a  dog bring your dog in and we can see how he can do.

The Animal Shelter Society will also be holding their third annual Yappy Hour on Thursday March 30, 2017 at the Zanesville Country Club.
