ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The 23rd annual Miracle on Main Street lighting ceremony took place Wednesday evening.

The show featured holiday lights, music and performances as well as an appearance from the infamous Santa Claus.

“Oh wasn’t it wonderful, you know the city looked so pretty with all the lights and all the excitement with all the people,” said Mr. Claus.

The jolly star of the show pulled up to the courthouse in a vintage fire truck owned by Muskingum County EMA Director, Bo Keck.

“And it’s an old-fashioned one, I like old-fashioned things,” said Mr. Claus.

Mr. Claus had just one message he wanted to send out to the community.

“Just wish everyone a Merry Christmas, keep up the great holiday spirit I see you’re full of it here just keep it up and Merry Christmas to everyone,” Mr. Claus.

Santa’s next appearance will be at the Dresden parade on Saturday night.
