UPDATE Guernsey-Muskingum Customers Lose Power

As of 4:00 p.m., there are about 1100 meters without power in the Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Service Territory. Crews will continue into the evening restoring power, but folks should not expect their power to be restored Monday night.

Anyone in need of assistance can go to a warming center at: North Terrace Church of Christ, Brandywine Blvd. Zanesville after 7:00 p.m. or First Presbyterian Church, Steubenville Avenue, Cambridge after 7:00 p.m. Any other needs may call 740-432-9292.

The strong winds, which started Sunday Morning have left Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative with approximately 2500 without power.

Crews worked all day Sunday, and into the night.  Monday, all Guernsey-Muskingum Crews, with the assistance of Asplundh tree crews will be working to restore power to all members, as soon as safely possible.

It is too early to make predictions of when power will be restored.
