Pet of the Week: Meet Little T

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society introduced Little T as this weeks featured pet.
Little T is a Miniature Pinscher mix who is about three months old. Assistant Director Charity Stevens said he was born without front legs, so they’re currently fitting Little T for his own walking cart.
With his disability, the Animal Shelter needs a family who can handle his medical treatments in the future.
“So we are excepting applications, come out to the shelter,” Stevens said. “Just fill out an application, we’re not promising how soon it will be that he’ll be able to go. We’re hoping [the adoptive family will] be able to take him before the final fitting. So they’ll be a part of that participation.”
Little T’s adoption fee is more expensive at $300 to help offset the cost of his fitted cart. The adoptive family will also need to continue with his medical treatments and maintain care of his cart.
Stevens said Little T is not fully grown yet, so he’ll need regularly measured and possibly re-fitted at a later date for a new cart.
“He’s a sweet boy, you’ll fall in love with him, if you come out and visit him,” Stevens said. “Just like I said remember he’s a typical puppy, who likes to bite, play and needs taught some of the basic manners to become a great little adult.”
The Animal Shelter Society is asking for the applications to be filled out and turned in all next week. For more information on Little T contact the Shelter or visit their website or call in at (740) 452-1077.
