28th Annual Join the Army! Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Drive

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Holiday spirit is hitting the road!

The Rushing Wind Biker Church will be hosting their 28th annual “Join the Army! Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Ride”. The event will kick off at Walmart, located at 2850 Maple Avenue, where community members are invited to meet Santa Claus and bring unwrapped toys or monetary donations for underprivileged children. Once the toys are collected, the bikers will ride over to the Salvation Army to deliver all of the donated gifts to make sure local kids have a brighter holiday season.

“We’re going to have a huge parade from Walmart to the Salvation Army on Putnam Avenue. That’s where we’ll end up with the toys, bicycles, and all of the gifts that have been brought in by all of the motorcyclists and community people who live around here. We want you to come and be a part of this wonderful day. Then, we’re going to feed all the bikers at the Salvation Army after the parade,” Pastor at Rushing Wind Biker Church Michael McGuire said.

For nearly three decades, this Toy Ride has brought riders and locals together to give back and make a difference for kids and families in need.

“It’s an excellent outreach for the motorcycle community and the people in this area to come out and support what we’re doing. The Bible says it’s more blessed to give than to receive. We just want to give back to this community and make sure that some underprivileged children will have a wonderful Christmas this year,” Pastor McGuire said.

The Toy Ride will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 11 AM to 1 PM. To learn more on how you can join or donate, visit the Rushing Wind Biker Church Facebook page.
