ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The vibrancy of a community is often a reflection of the caliber of its leadership and nearly 150 local business and organization members attended today’s 2nd annual, Live 2 Lead leadership symposium at the Welcome Center.

The simulcasted event offered positive encouragement, practical tips and effective examples toward finding ways to foster successful outcomes.

“So we start off with three simulcast speakers. And they talk about resilience. They talk about taking steps towards leadership and improving yourself. And then marketing is all about doing and not saying, it’s putting it into play. Dr. Jim Mahoney will be speaking  as well. He always wraps up the day with a summary and his own key takeaways for that,” Leadership Muskingum Chairwoman Heather Dolen said.

Live 2 Lead was organized by Leadership Muskingum in partnership with Miles’ Mission and sponsored by several area businesses, agencies and organizations looking for ways to better serve and improve their community.

“I’d say seeing the folks that are in there, it’s a… quite a diverse group in there. From banks, nonprofit entities, people of different backgrounds and you know, different profiles and seeing everybody come together for that I think is… provides a little warmth for everybody,” Live 2 Lead Committee Member Christian Gomes said.

The event gives local organizations and like minded individuals an opportunity to compare notes and establish connections that could possibly lead to future community engagement collaborations.
