3 Charged In Byesville Theft
Three Muskingum County men are facing theft charges after an incident last week. Byesville Police Chief Jason May says around 1:30 Wednesday the three entered the Treasure Terminal pawn shop on Main Street in Byesville. May says while one of the men went to the counter to make a purchase, the other two suspects allegedly took two handguns and fled the store. Chief May says one of the suspects – 25-year-old Kaleb Rainer of Zanesville – was caught a short time later. He is charged with complicity to commit grand theft. May says the other two suspects 26-year-old Donovan Mohler of Zanesville and 25-year-old Shandon Putt of Dresden were caught Saturday with help from Zanesville Police and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office. Mohler and Putt each face a charge of grand theft of a firearm. All three men are being held in the Guernsey County Jail and will appear in Cambridge Municipal Court at 1:30 Monday afternoon.
