Donation to Create Future Employees

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– A local business makes a donation to an area school in hopes of creating future employees.
Advantage Ag and Equipment is providing used equipment to Mid-East for their Diesel Technology Program.
Advantage Ag’s owner said it’s been difficult for them to find qualified technicians. The hope is students at Mid-East can learn on the donated equipment and will one day find employment with them.
“If you can’t service the equipment you can’t sell the equipment,” explained Mark Lybarger owner of Advantage Ag & Equipment. “We have to make sure we service what we sell and that’s very important to us as an organization. Service is number one. Parts is number two and sales is number three to our organization.”
One Mid-East student has plans to work with Advantage Ag this summer, another is currently working for the business as an intern and will have a job upon graduation.
“It’s nice being able to get out and start in my career and what I actually wanted to get into ’cause this school didn’t have ag as much,” said Senior Ethan Rothacher. “It’s nice to be able to get out and learn about the ag part.”
“They’re able to mold them too, the employer, is into the type of employee that they are looking for,” explained Coordinator of Business Partnerships and Placement Shannon Kenily. “Overall it’s just a wonderful opportunity.”
Mid-East works with many business partners in the community. If your business would like to form a partnership with Mid-East you can contact Shannon Kenily.
