3rd Annual Blue Ribbon 50 Plus Expo
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Fairgrounds welcomed hundreds of community members to the 3rd annual Blue Ribbon 50 Plus Expo on May 15th.
The expo is designed to connect those 50 years and older with the resources they need to lead healthier and more active lives. Admission to the event was free and featured over 40 vendors specializing in health care, wellness, and community engagement.
“It’s just great for people to find resources that they might not know about otherwise. And all the opportunities that are here for people 50 and up as well,” Muskingum County Fair President Gail Deitrick said.
In addition to the informational booths, visitors had the chance to win several door prizes throughout the day. Various health care providers were there offering services that cater to the needs of older adults. Organizers emphasized the importance of providing necessary recourses to the senior population, who often face unique challenges and opportunities.
“A lot of people don’t know where they can go when needed. Let’s say a spouse has passed away, and the other one just doesn’t know where to go. We have a lot of information here that would benefit them,” Muskingum County Fair Director Jonna Sharp said.
The Blue Ribbon 50 Plus Expo will be making its return again next year.
