ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The 3rd Annual Downtown Block Party was a public event that was open to the kids, youth and adults of the community.

Jim McLaughlin, Committee Member, Zanesville Community Block Party, said that the block party is an event to help bring the community together.
"It’s an outreach to the community and celebrating our ministries together for the community."
The block party is sponsored by Central Trinity UMC, Immanuel United Church of Christ, Union Baptist and Trinity Lutheran. McLaughlin said that while they are all different churches, they share the same goal.
"We want to reach out to the community and encourage people to have good feelings about the community, the friendship and fellowship that we extend, inside and outside the building."
Live entertainment was brought by the Y-City Barbershop Chorus VLQ (Very Large Quartet), John Thomas & the Garretts, the Hymns of Praise, Roger Touvell with Mister Joe, and Mike Morosko.
