3rd Annual Newton Township Community Days Dodgeball Tournament

NEWTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio – The Newton Township Community Days hosted their third annual dodgeball tournament this morning at the Newton Township Fire Department.
The event was for 3rd graders and up, and there were two separate age groups. The tournament cost 60 dollars per team in the adult league, and 30 dollars for the children teams. Newton Township Community Days President, Dora Maxwell organized the tournament.
“So we’ll have an adult team and a youth team and we start off with adults. Two adult teams will go against each other and then it’s the best of three. They’ll win and then we will go to a youth team.”
Maxwell believes that playing in these dodgeball tournaments will make memories for not just the kids, but the adults as well. She hopes tournaments in the future will continue bringing the community together.
“Yeah it is good fun. its good to watch them and they make good clean memories and they’ll remember this when they’re older they’re like oh remember when i played in the dodgeball tournament.”
If you missed out on today’s tournament or didn’t win a medal today, do not worry because their is another tournament coming up later this year. You can sign up for the next tournament on the Newton Township Community Days Facebook page.
