$500-Million Dollar Powerball Jackpot

The drawing for the 500 million dollar Powerball jackpot is set for Wednesday night.
Wednesday’s night lottery was the sixth-largest ever in North America and one local business is seeing a lot of folks out buying tickets due to its history of selling winning lottery tickets. We talked the owner of Mother Tucker’s, Jimmy Pitcock and he said the lottery is a huge part of this store.
“We have a huge lottery, very loyal customers that come here. Over the last year or so, this place has sold a lot of lottery as it is and we had a million dollar winner a year ago yesterday. We also had a million-dollar winner again in may. My wife always told me things come in sets of three whether it be good or bad and this is a good shot to see if it’s going to happen or not. We’ve sold a lot of Powerball and people are very excited,” said Pitcock.
Right now, the Powerball jackpot is set right around half of a billion-dollars. The cash option will be 306-million dollars before taxes are deducted. Powerball player, Jim Tignor said if he wins, he will share it his family and donate to charities.
“I came in here to buy these Powerball tickets because, this is supposed to be the luckiest place in town. So hopefully i’ll get some luck. What would I do with it? You would have to talk to my wife about that, she handles the money, I let her handle the money,” said Tignor.
The drawing for Wednesday’s Powerball was set at 11 p.m.
