7 Arrested in Guernsey County Raids

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office says seven people have been arrested after  narcotics search warrants were executed Tuesday.

Captain Jeremy Wilkinson says one minor child was also removed from a Cambridge home and turned over to Guernsey County Children Services.

Wilkinson says at 5:00 a.m. the Cambridge swat team entered a home at 1213 Beatty Avenue and arrested two females and a male who were booked into the Guernsey County jail.  Officers recovered suspected controlled substances and other contraband.

Captain Wilkinson says the second search warranted was executed at 413 Carl Street in Cumberland.  He says two males and two females were taken into custody and booked into the Guernsey County jail.

Wilkinson says a search of that home resulted in the recovery suspected controlled substances, U.S currency and drug paraphernalia. A search of a third residence in Pleasant City also resulted in the discovery of suspected drugs.

The Cambridge Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol participated in the raids.
