Muskingum County Defeats 2 of 3 Liquor Options

It was a mixed day for three liquor options on Tuesday’s primary ballot. Voters said yes to the Sunday sale of beer, wine and mixed beverages at Sam’s Club on Northpointe Drive. But Muskingum County voters said no to Sunday sales at Wal-Mart on Maysville Pike and no to Sunday sales at Wal-Mart on Maple Avenue. Others results from Muskingum County included County Central Committee winners in Falls Township — Jody Spencer — and in Hopewell Township — Jon Murphy. Other County Central Committee winners were Marlee Gibson in Perry Township and Linda Baughman in Wayne township. The biggest win of the night was the Center for Seniors where their levy passed by over 4000 votes.
