Z-ville Man Facing Human Trafficking Charges Takes Plea Deal

A Zanesville man facing multiple charges including human trafficking entered a guilty plea to 40 counts in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. The Prosecutor’s Office says 32-year-old Derek Jamison of 2810 East Pike took a plea deal that will drop some of the charges including three counts of human trafficking, unlawful sex with a minor and two counts of compelling prostitution. Jamison did plead guilty 40 different charges including unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, trafficking in marijuana and compelling prostitution. Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Jamison’s bond at one-million dollars.
