The Animal Shelter’s Annual Craft Bazaar

The Animal Shelter Society held their annual Craft Bazaar featuring one-of-kind, hand-made gifts from local vendors.

The bazaar took place at the Mass Bingo Hall. This year there were nearly 30 vendors in attendance. We spoke to Nancy Geiger at the Animal Shelter Craft Bazaar and she tells us that there are a lot of animals at the shelter in need of a home.

“There’s way too many, way too many. We need so many adoptions. I’m just glad we have the shelter there, for being a no kill shelter, and we just give them all the love that we can,” said Geiger.

Geiger said she hopes the Craft Bazaar grows bigger each year. She told us there are many ways to get involved if you would like to volunteer.

“If you want to become involved in volunteering for the shelter you can call the shelter, you can go out there. There are volunteer forms to sign to walk the dogs walk, play with the cats, walk the puppies, anything else that’s involved we have pet adoptions on different weekends, we can let you know when they are or you can just call the shelter up, we’ll have a list out there; you can sign up for it then,” said Geiger.

All proceeds from the tables, bake-sale and calendars goes directly to the animal shelter. For more details on ways you can get involved call the shelter at 740-452-1077.
