Gas Prices Dropping in time for the Holidays

Area motorists are getting an early holiday gift as gas prices are guzzling below $2.
According to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report, this time last year the average price for regular gas was $2.89 per gallon, making it nearly $1 cheaper today. We asked local residents how they felt with the gas prices dropping, and they had this to say.
“You’re getting twice your money, and of course, you can go twice as far.”
“I actually put too much in, and today I had to go get my change.”
“A lot better than it was, when it was $2.50.”
“Good, it’s relieving.”
“It feels great. Oh yea, you put the gas in now, and at least you can get something on your gauge. Compared to before you put 20 bucks in, and you’ll get a quarter tank. Now you’re getting over a half.”
Then we asked residents if they feel that the price drop would last for their holiday travel.
“Yes, I think it will, yes.”
“Oh for sure, defiantly. It’ll help a lot.”
“Well, we’ll like for it to last. But, seeing the holidays it keeps bouncing up and down.”
Right now, the lowest reported gas price in Zanesville is $1.93 per gallon at Starfire on the West Pike. That is according to gasbuddy.com.
