The Muskingum Valley Garden Society Brings Christmas To Downtown

With only 33 days until December 25th one local organization is taking Christmas downtown.

The Muskingum Valley Garden Society is downtown continuing their beautification project. It’s their second year decorating downtown for the holiday season. This year they want you to get involved.

“This year with our container program people actually have the opportunity to purchase a container in memory of, or honor of someone that’s passed, or maybe an in honor of a Veteran that’s serving. They can sponsor a pot; the cost is $90 for early order sponsorship and that will cover next years season as well,” said Brian McLoughlin

By sponsoring a pot you will also receive a plaque with the name of the person you’re honoring, or your family name. McLoughin told us, it’s important to make the community beautiful year around.

“Anytime you can get involved in the community and have a positive impact, where people get behind it and benefit from it. With the success of our downtown container program, going from 25-27 pots the first year and we’re about five years in now and we’ll have around 103 street level pots plus the y-bridge,” said McLoughlin.

If you want to sponsor a pot go to mvgardersociety.org, download the form and you can send it in your donation.
