UPDATE: Teenager Transported after Bulldozer Accident

An accident involving heavy machinery leaves one local teen in serious condition tonight.
19 year old Jason Reiter was involved in a bulldozer accident early Sunday afternoon, according to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz. Although the series of events during the crash are unclear at the moment, the teenager suffers serious internal injuries. Reiter was transported to Genesis hospital. We spoke to Zanesville resident Chris Northrup who found Reiter and explains what happened as he approached the crash.
"I placed my coat on him and I covered him up. I put my toboggan on him and I had to run up the street and get somebody to call the police because, I didn’t have a cell phone and his was bent in half. So, I went up there and a lady called 911 and I came back and sat with him until the ambulance and the police got here," said Northrup.
Once Reiter arrived to Genesis hospital he was taken by life flight to Columbus. Northrup told us, until the ambulance arrival he waited by Reiter’s side.
"I gave him a little bit of diet Pepsi because, he kept saying he was thirsty. But, I only had a little bit. They told me he shouldn’t drink to much anyway. But, I didn’t have much with me and that was all I had; I ran over to the truck and got it and gave him a drink, " said Northrup.
