Mother Tucker’s to Host 4th Annual Toy Drive

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is making Christmas a lot merrier for underprivileged children.

This is the 4th Annual Toy Drive hosted by Mother Tucker’s. Mother Tucker’s employee Mark Lane said this event is a boost for those families in a financial bind. For families who can’t afford to bring their children to the mall and take a picture with Santa Mother Tucker’s offers a nice alternative.

“We have Santa Claus here on Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.” Lane said. “They get free pictures with Santa and I also have a toy raffle that we do.”

Lane said the greatest accomplishment from doing this in the past is the support from the community and seeing the smile on kids faces.

“The main thing is a lot of people support,” Lane said. They help. The community, they all come together in Christmas and that’s the greatest thing.”

Mother Tucker’s is selling raffle tickets for a new hockey table and tool set. The drawing will be held on December 20th. But this Friday from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. is the toy drive. To participate, simply bring a new unwrapped toy and drive through the marked car wash bay and drop it off. Lane said they are always looking for help and donations. You can drop off toy donations at Mother Tucker’s at 1132 Sharon Avenue.
