Star Wars Premier Night
The force is bringing all Jedis together Thursday for the premier of the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens.
Many eager Star Wars fans were patiently waiting for their time to enter the doors to view the 2 hour and 15 minute long film tonight at the Cinemark at the Colony Square mall. We spoke to a few fans, and they tell us they have been waiting for this day for a very long time.
“Just watching the movie for me. I’m just excited to finally see it,” said Ryan Kikkawa.
“Ryan has been a huge star wars fan for his entire life. It’s nice that he gets to see it premiere in his adult life,” said Laura Bice.
As you can see, these fans are fashionably dressed in clothing from the new film. They explained to us where their outfits came from.
“I just got mine off of a website which I just bought, and I wore it for Halloween actually. I am wearing it today for the premiere,” said Kikkawa.
“I made mine. I bought a lot of the things like the shirt and the pants, but I had to make this,” said Bice.
Star Wars will be in theaters tomorrow morning at the mall for regular showings beginning at 9:30 a.m. Opening weekend sales are projected to be around 240 million dollars, which would make it the biggest opening weekend ever in the U.S.
