Man Suffers Multiple Gunshot Wounds in Ridge Avenue Shooting
One man was sent to the hospital following a shooting Thursday night in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue.
It happened in an alley off of Ridge around 9:30 p.m. Â According to Sgt. Jon McCoy of the Zanesville Police Department, one male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the torso. He was alive when first responders arrived and was transported to Genesis Hospital by Community Ambulance. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.
McCoy could not release any names or information on potential suspects or the type of gun used. The Zanesville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
