Man Remains in Critical Condition After Shooting
Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller released the identity of the man critically injured in a shooting on Thursday night.
The Chief says around 9:30pm the department received a call of shots fired in the 1500 block of ridge avenue.
“Approximately 9:28 pm Thursday evening we received a call of two shots fired in the 1500 block ridge avenue. We were also advised that there was a male subject lying in the alley, behind there, not moving. Once we arrived we found Rodriguez Hampton 46 years old lying behind 264 Corwin avenue, suffering from a gun shot wound. He was transported to Genesis Hospital. I believe his last update on his condition is that he is currently in critical condition,” said Chief Miller.
Chief Miller says some drugs including crack cocaine were recovered at the scene of the crime. He says they do not currently have any suspects in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Zanesville Police Department.
