New Year, New Baby

As we were counting down to a new year, a Coshcocton resident was counting her blessings.

A new baby was brought into the world earlier Friday morning at Genesis hospital. Ashley Untied gave birth to a 7.25 pound baby boy at 7 a.m she told us the feeling is unbelievable.

“It’s amazing, it’s surprising. You wouldn’t think you’ll feel like this about something. He was crying and they put him on me and he stopped crying, it was like I felt that connection right away,” said Untied.

Not only was the baby new to 2016 but, he was also a surprise to Untied and her family as well a little after the ball dropped last night Untied was beginning to have back pains and decided to go to the hospital. It was there she discovered she was not only pregnant but, was 8 centimeters dilated, and it was time for the arrival her baby. Untied said although he did come as a surprise she’s still excited for her new bundle of joy.

“He was never a mistake, and I went through a lot of pain for him but, he’s a blessing and I love him,” said Untied.

Untied hasn’t come up with the name for her new baby but, promises to let us know once she finds the perfect one.
