Gas Nearing $4.00 a Gallon
The average price for a gallon of gas is rising closer $4.00 a gallon.
The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices is showing a nationwide average of $3.81 for a gallon of regular.
We talked to motorists at the BP station on Maple Avenue, where a gallon of regular gas was $3.84 a gallon.
Many of them are outraged that gas has jumped 12 cents over the past two weeks.
"I’m a salesman on the road, and yeah, sure it does. I stay over more in hotels now than I ever did because it’s better, and cheaper," said Pennsylvania Motorist, Jack Bombulie "I make decent money, and I don’t know how you could have a minimum-wage job and have to drive more than five minutes to it, it’s ridiculous."
"I think it’s horrible! A lot of people can’t afford it, and with vehicles like these, it just eats up everything," said Jodi Ambrose
Robert Evans told us, "I’ve down-sized vehicles because it’s too much. You’ve got to have a car that’s better on gas."
Denver has the lowest average price in the country, with regular costing about $3.36 a gallon, while gas is most expensive in Los Angeles, where a gallon of regular is at $4.35.
