United Way is Looking For Volunteers

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The Untied Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties help individuals file more than 1,000 tax returns in 2015.
This year they added a new location at Colony Square Mall in hopes to serve more people.
“This year we’re looking for volunteers in Perry and Morgan countries as well as Muskingum County. And without those important people and their gracious donation of their time we would not be able to offer this service to the community. Just to give you an idea, last year we did over 1,000 tax returns. Those were all done by volunteers. We really appreciate them and their time. And we will graciously accept any new volunteers that will be willing to give back to the community in that way. So if you’re looking to make good on that New Year’s resolution to give back to the community, this is how to do it,” said Community Impact Director, Becky Clawson.
Clawson said the Untied Way offers training for volunteers.
“In person or online, we can even do some hands on training in one of the clinic once those open. If they’d like to attend a training session we can do that. And all of that is done with Ohio Benefit Bank and our gracious Volunteer Tax Clinic Coordinator Deb. She handles all of that and she has a lot of experience and knowledge,” said Clawson.
