BREAKING: Gas Leak Leads to Evacuations in Crooksville
The Crooksville and South Zanesville Fire Departments are reporting a large gas leak on a 36" pipe near the area of 2260 Watt Hill Road near Route 93.
The leak was first reported around 8 p.m. Monday evening.
Authorities in Crooksville are asking residents to evacuate the area north of Ridge Avenue in Crooksville and toward Roseville.
If residents in this area need a place to go, they can go to the Crooksville Fire Department, City Hall, Crooksville High School or the Recreation Center.
The American Red Cross says for those sheltering at Crooksville High School for each family member you should bring:
- Prescriptions and emergency medications
- Proof of residence
- Extra clothing, pillows, blankets, hygiene supplies and other comfort items
- Supplies needed for children and infants, such as diapers, formula and toys
- Special items for family members who are elderly or disabled
- Chargers for any electronic devices you bring with you
- Books, games and other ways to entertain your family and yourself
