Animal Shelter Remembers Daisy

We would normally showcase the pet of the week.

We stopped by the animal shelter and with heavy hearts they remember one of their own.

"She was the shelter. She was our mascot here. And our inspirational leader here. And certainty her recent death is going to be a lost to all of us. Daisy was not a certified therapy dog. But she certainly seem to understand when staff was having a down day," said Animal Shelter Executive Director Jody Murray.

Last week Daisy went to doggie heaven. She is greatly missed at the shelter. Murray still wanted to have a pet of the week in honor of Daisy.

"The good thing about this dog, is that we right now we will adopt her with no fee to an approved family. Someone that’s willing to provide some special attention and special care for her. She a wonderful dog. She’s getting a little up in her years. She’s about 9 just looking for a good home," said Murray.

For more information, stop by the Animal Shelter located at 1430 Newark Road.
