Two Men Indicted in Woman’s Death

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says two Zanesville men have been indicted in connection with the 2014 death of a woman found shot in her car. 38-year-old Sirius Underwood of 628 Carey Street pled not guilty before Judge Kelly Cottrill to multiple counts including aggravated murder in the death of 25-year-old Brandy Daniels. The other man indicted in the case is the victim’s husband, Josh Daniels. Prosecutor Mike Haddox says Daniels has been arrested in Alaska and will have to be extradited back to Muskingum County to face charges in the case. The two suspects are accused of killing Daniel’s wife on May 5th of 2014 as she was driving home and talking on her cell phone with her boyfriend. Daniel’s was found by her sister just before 11 pm in the 6000 block of McCaslin Road in Nashport. She was in the driver’s seat of her car which was still running. Underwood remains in the Muskingum County Jail on two-million dollars bond.
