Hundreds Show For The 2016 Food Truck Rally

Music and food was not something very difficult to find downtown Zanesville on Saturday.

A Food Truck Rally took place at the Zane’s Landing Park this weekend and the entire community was invited to try the wide variety of food. This inaugural event was presented by the Zanesville Jaycees and was free and open to the entire community. Co-Owner of Pappy’s Italian Specialties, Marsha Hutchinson said it’s feels great to be apart of this community event.

"We do need this community event down here. When we asked to come here they were like, yes we need italian. We are kind of unique in what we have so it blends right in and with the community support it’s great," said Hutchinson.

We talked to Jim McInturf who said he came to the event with his wife to get lunch and check out all the different vendors.

"I think it’s great to get people downtown. We do have a vibrant community downtown with the art district and everything else that they are bringing downtown. I think it’s great to have something like this so people can come down and see what it’s all about," said McInturf.

Jim tells us if the Zanesville Jaycees decides to have another Food Truck Rally next year, he will definitely be in attendance.
