Perry County Sheriff's K-9 Assist in Investigation That Led in Seizure of Drugs and Recovery of a Stolen VehiclePERRY COUNTY- Perry County Sheriff William Barker announces the felony arrests of three subjects for felony drug and theft related offenses.

These arrests are credited to Perry County Sheriff’s K-9 Argo, who’s assistance with these investigations that led to the seizure of drugs and the recovery of a stolen vehicle. On April 28, 2016, the Perry County Grand Jury indicted 28 year old Michael Calhoun of Zansville and 31 year old Jeffery Oder of Frazeysburg on felony count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine and possession of stolen property.

Then on May 2, 2016,  19 year old Branson Pierce was arrested for trafficking and aggravated possessions of drugs. Pierce is currently out on bond. And his case is awaiting presentation to the Perry County Grand Jury.

Since Argo joined the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, he has assisted in the seizure of;

2,593.83 doses of prescription drugs
49 firearms
1,470.91 grams of herion
41,666.29 grams of marijuana
380.79 grams of methamphetamine

With a total estimated street value of over a half a million dollars. It goes without saying that K-9 Argo is a valuable asset to the Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Task Force.
