Former Maysville Panther wins Big Ten Gold

Maysville graduate and current Ohio State shot put thrower JC Murasky has won this year’s Big Ten outdoor track and field championships. Murasky finished with a final throw of 20.21 meters to win the event. Purdue sophomore Chukwuebuka Enekwechi finished second with a throw of 19.85 meters.
During his time at Ohio State, Murasky has been named an All-American twice, an All-Big Ten honoree twice, as well as being named Big Ten Athlete of the Week in April of 2016.
In addition to to his on-field honors, Murasky was an academic All-Big Ten selection and an Ohio State Scholar Athlete award winner in 2013.
This year’s NCAA outdoor track and field championships will be held June 8-11 from Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
