ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The community is coming together to continue the legacy of coach Matt Brown.
Throat cancer claimed the life of Brown on March 6th after battling the disease for one year. The Fieldhouse has teamed up with several local organizations for Garrison’s Goal prayer breakfast. Garrison is Brown’s 7 month old son.
“Since Matt’s not here we’re going to make sure that Garrison has everything opportunity for the next 18 years to realize some of the things that his dad achieved,” said Mick Amicone.
The prayer breakfast will be held at The Fieldhouse on June 3rd at 7 a.m. Tickets are $20 per person or for a table of six for $100.
“Matt Brown was the epitome of what all of us regardless of our length of service aspire to be. Matt was humble. He was kind. He was passionate about kids. We are charged to pay it forward on behalf of Matt and this is the best way we know how,” said Amicone.
Tickets for the prayer breakfast can be purchased at The Fieldhouse.
