Muskingum Family YMCA Summer Day Camp

This years motto for the Muskingum Family YMCA Summer Day Camp is Play, Sleep, Repeat.

The summer program will begin Tuesday May 31st and will run until august 12th. Muskingum county YMCA Executive Director Jeff Radde said the camp is open to children entering grades K through 8th grade.

"We divide them up into the age appropriate groups and they do all types of activities. We have a lot of collaboration with OUZ, Zane State, Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as Adams Lane Care Center and the Dog Shelter house. The kids are busy all day, we have so many activities planned this summer and they will stay busy and of course they swim for a couple hours each day as well," said Radde.

The summer day camp is offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m until 4 p.m. Radde said it’s important to put kids in summer programs to keep them busy throughout the day.

"The parents that goes to work or to school their children are going to be in a safe environment, their going to have a lot of fun, a lot of educational programs like our Stem Camp program, our science and math that we do with Zane State as well, it just gives the kids an opportunity to get involved," said Rdde.
